About The Book

In this action-packed Star Trek adventure, Commander Sonya Gomez of the Starfleet Corps of Engineers must solve a deadly mystery on a hostile alien world, where a critical mining mission turns into a fight for survival.

Assigned to the crystal-rich planet of Sarindar, Gomez is tasked with leading a troubled engineering project for the reclusive Nalori, whose resistance and mistrust threaten to derail progress. As tensions rise and morale falters, she works to unite the crew and gain the cooperation of the alien population.

But when workers are mysteriously killed by a dangerous native creature known as the shii, the mission takes a deadly turn. To prevent further loss of life, Gomez must uncover the truth behind the attacks—before the fragile alliance collapses entirely.

The first installment in the Starfleet Corps of Engineers adventure, this thrilling sci-fi novel delivers high-stakes action, alien encounters, and the ingenuity of Starfleet at work in deep space.
